Chairman, Mr.
Bharat Doshi joined Mahindra &
Mahindra Limited (M&M), Flagship
Company of the Mahindra Group, in
1973 as an Executive.
He is a fellow member of the Institute
of Chartered Accountants of India
and the Institute of Company Secretaries
of India and has a Master's Degree
in Law from the University of Bombay.
He has participated in the Program
for Management Development (PMD)
at Harvard Business School. He was
also a Fellow of the Salzburg Seminar
on 'Asian Economies: Regional and
Global Relationships' held in December
2000.
Doshi was Executive Vice President
(Corporate Affairs), M&M, from
July 1991 to August 1992. In August
1992, he joined the Board of M&M
as Executive Director in charge
of Finance & Accounts, Corporate
Affairs and Information Technology.
In addition, he was President of
the Trade & Financial Services
Sector from December 1994 to October
2007.
Doshi is presently designated as
Executive Director and Group Chief
Financial Officer (Group CFO) of
M&M.
Doshi is Chairman of Mahindra &
Mahindra Financial Services Limited
and Mahindra Intertrade Limited.
He is Director of several companies
in the Mahindra Group, including
Tech Mahindra Limited, Mahindra
Holdings & Finance Limited,
Mahindra International Limited,
Mahindra Rural Housing Finance Limited,
and Mahindra USA Incorporated. He
was also a Director on the Board
of Ford affiliate in India from
May 1997 to March 2005.
He is an independent Director of
Godrej Consumer Products Limited,
Franklin Templeton Trustee Services
Private Limited, and NSE.IT Limited.
He is a Trustee of the Mahindra
Foundation and the K.C. Mahindra
Education Trust. He is on the Board
of Governors of Mahindra United
World College of India. He was a
Member of the Board of Governors
of Indian Institute of Management,
Kozhikode, from September 1997 to
March 2008. He was a member of the
Managing Committee of Bombay Chamber
of Commerce & Industry from
May 2005 to May 2007.
Doshi was a member of the High
Powered Expert Committee constituted
by the Ministry of Finance, Government
of India, on Making Mumbai an International
Financial Centre and is a member
of the SEBI (Securities and Exchange
Board of India) Committee on Disclosures
and Accounting Standards (SCODA).
Mr. Bharat Doshi has been elected
as Vice President of Bombay Chamber
of Commerce & Industry (BCCI)
for the year 2008-09.
Bharat Doshi was adjudged 'India's
Best CFO' by the leading business
fortnightly Business Today (India
Today Group Publication) in April
2005. He was conferred the 'CFO
of the Year' Award, honouring financial
excellence, instituted by IMA India,
an associate of The Economist Group,
in December 2005. In November 2007,
Bharat Doshi was honoured with the
prestigious CNBC CFO of the Year
2007 award.
